An irvine transitional home, bathroom and kitchen remodel

Kitchen Remodel Irvine Orange County

Located in Irvine, when you initially walked into this home before the full bathroom and kitchen remodel, you were greeted with a living area that had multiple staircases as the focal point. It felt disjointed and like an overly complex layout. Once the APlus team went in and redesigned this area, we were able to create a better sense of flow and cohesion and give the stairs a better aesthetic appeal. Recessed lighting and dark plank wood flooring add timeless sophistication to the living area.

Upstairs we emphasized the openness and brightness of the balcony overlooking the lower level of the home and redesigned the details of the staircase to feel more modern and stylish. The bathroom is now sleek, with a light white and gray color palette, sconce lighting, a wide, double vanity with natural stone, and a spa-like glassed-in shower. For the half-bath redesign, we added another shower and a white Shaker-inspired custom vanity topped by a contrasting dark stone.

Before the remodel, the kitchen in this Irvine home was incredibly dated and cramped. It felt small because of the dropped ceiling, and the flow was obstructed by the presence of a peninsula. After the redesign, it’s entirely open, with white Shaker cabinetry, high-end brushed nickel hardware, and industrial-style pendant lights over the large island.

The custom island was designed and created by APlus and features a dark color that contrasts with the white cabinets. Windows wrap around the entire kitchen, giving excellent views of the outdoors and an abundance of natural light, dark wood floors add a hint of drama to the otherwise light color palette of the kitchen. A well-organized pantry with a combination of custom-crafted shelving styles replaces the once tiny and dark pantry. Finally, an additional storing and seating area was added against the back wall, with a banquette set against the backdrop of oversized windows.
