LAKE FOREST – HOME REMODEL WITH APLUS CUSTOM CABINETS

A family in Lake Forest wanted to make some big changes to their home. After learning of APlus’ great reputation, they entrusted us with their complete home renovation. In the kitchen, we started by removing the old tile floors and replacing them with golden brown hardwood flooring. We completely changed up the floorplan, deciding with the owners that a G-shaped layout would work best with the raised floor platform and newly knocked out side wall. According to this new layout, we built simple custom cabinets with minimalist crown moulding, elongated stainless steel handles and a dark brown finish. Some of the cabinets were given glass-paneled doors as well. These design motifs combined to instantly give the kitchen a contemporary vibe, one that made the whole space feel revitalized. Between the upper and lower cabinets is a backsplash of narrow rectangular stone tiles in alternating shades of gray. We left openings between the cabinetry sections so that the kitchen could look out into both the family room and the dining room on either side. A center island with storage was put in, and all surfaces were topped with cream-toned slab countertops.
The flooring used in the kitchen was extended into the family room, in which we refaced the fireplace in a sleek style with striated gray stone and a simple dark wood mantle shelf. As part of our overall restructuring efforts in the home, we knocked out a column in the main living room and leveled the flooring, opening up the space to be airy and expansive. In the bathroom, a custom vanity with his and hers sinks was built, much like the style of the kitchen cabinetry, and topped with a sandy granite countertop. The neutral floor tiling was pulled up on the sides of the glass-enclosed bathtub/shower combination. Its walls feature a decorative band of dark mosaic tiles. Another bathroom benefited from its own custom vanity with a dark gray marble countertop. If you too would like your Orange County home renovated, call our team for a free estimate!
Check out our three episode series of whole house remodel that features the very beginning at the demolition stage, then the design stage where everything is already been removed and finally the finished project, where this home is transitioned into a beautiful brand new space for the Panahi family.
