62 – Anaheim Hills – Complete Kitchen Remodel with brand new custom cabinets

When living in a picturesque neighborhood like Anaheim Hills, one wants the interior of their home to be just as beautiful as their community. Such was the case for the owners of this house, which had an underwhelming kitchen in need of renovation. It suffered from dark brick walls and plain white cabinets, two elements that worked together to make the room feel dull and void of personality. This didn’t mesh with the warmth and casual elegance the owners wanted in their home, so they recruited the APlus team for a renovation. We designed the new kitchen to have a subdued transitional style that blends features of modern and traditional trends. The owners wanted to keep the original U-shaped layout, so we built the new custom cabinets according to the same configuration. Our construction of golden maple cabinets featured sloped crown moulding and contemporary stainless steel hardware, in addition to customizations that added a wealth of practicality to the space. These include pull-out vertical pan lid storage, pull-out tray shelving, a trash drawer, and a compact 6” spice cabinet built around the corner from the double ovens, as well as seamless cabinet doors on the living room side, beneath the counter ledge.
To keep the palette rich, we installed chestnut brown hardwood floors with pronounced wood grain, giving a slightly rustic touch. Much of the available workspace on the warm gray granite countertops faces the living room, making it easy for the family interact while cooking and entertaining. The black double bowl sink also looks out onto the living room. On the right side of the kitchen, we put in a flat glass-top stove beneath a high tech stainless steel wall hood, and decked the wall behind with a zig-zagging backsplash of neutral stone tiles. All of the other appliances are built into the cabinetry, and feature a stainless steel finish as well, lending a modern influence to the room.
