33 – Irvine -Kitchen, Bathroom, & Entertainment Center Remodel
A home in Irvine needed a bit of brightening up, so we overhauled the old kitchen with an airy, traditional-style renovation. The large space allowed us to go with a wide U-shaped layout, with a gathering point at the center. Large square marble tiles were installed as new flooring, and upon them, the custom cabinet construction began. Our team built shaker style cabinets out of pale maple wood, hugging the kitchen’s 3 walls with a bevy of cupboards and drawers for maximum storage space. On the left side, some of the upper cabinets were given glass panel inserts so that the clients’ glassware and liquor collection could be displayed. Over the kitchen sink, an arched hood acts as an ornamental feature connecting the cabinetry on either side. Custom elements such as a built-in knife rack, utensil compartments, and pegs for dish sorting can be found in the drawers.
At the kitchen’s center, we built an oversized island that has its own sink and storage. Extending from it is a built-in dining table, where family and friends can gather for casual dining. The kitchen’s countertops are a smooth black marble, which extends up the walls to the upper cabinets. This dark contrast adds a touch of sophistication to the room, in accord with the rest of the home’s style. Stainless steel appliances keep the look fresh and modern.
