Tour of a design build custom kitchen home remodel in newport beach by aplus kitchen

This beautiful home in Newport Beach, Orange County, represented a significant undertaking. We were charged with not only designing the kitchen from top-to-bottom but also with the design and manufacturing of the custom cabinetry, which is what makes this kitchen a true showpiece.

This design represents a mix of classic and contemporary elements for a timeless transitional style that is going to maintain its beauty and value over the years.

Along with the custom design and manufacturing of the predominantly white cabinetry, we also created a contrasting island in a dark wood tone with intricate carved detailing, giving it an antique feeling. Despite the Old World charm of the island base, the counter-tops are a sleek white stone, and the sink features a modern gooseneck faucet. There’s also a built-in microwave incorporated into the island, saving space and keeping this appliance out of immediate view.

The main kitchen countertops are sleek black, and the floors are a rich dark plank wood. This kitchen is one defined by a sense of contrast, which is found throughout, providing visual interest and a unique mix of styles.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a bar area with a wine refrigerator, tucked away next to the glass door is a custom desk and workspace. The stainless steel appliances are high-end and include double ovens, a gas range, a professional-quality hood and an expansive double-door refrigerator. This Newport Beach kitchen also features built-in banquette seating and a combination of recessed and hanging pendant lighting.
