The sleekness of contemporary style was blended with traditional motifs in the remodeling of this Foothill Ranch kitchen. We completed a full cabinetry overhaul, replacing the old cupboards and drawers. As a result, craftsman-style cabinets in richly dark African mahogany now define the space with depth and elegance. Frosted glass panels and the accents of simple silver hardware keep their look clean and sophisticated. The same mahogany formed the large center island, which includes spacious drawers and room for leather bar stools to slide underneath. As a result, the design maximizes kitchen storage. At the same time, it creates a comfortable area for casual family dining and everyday gatherings.

Both the center island and the surrounding work surfaces feature crisp white granite. As a result, the kitchen feels brighter, cleaner, and more visually unified. This countertop finish creates a striking contrast against the deeper tones of the kitchen cabinetry. At the same time, it ties in seamlessly with the soft ivory walls and the shimmering tile backsplash behind the stove. Meanwhile, a stainless steel Anzio range hood anchors the space as a bold focal point. It also pairs effortlessly with the kitchen’s other stainless steel appliances. Matching a cohesive and polished look.

These appliances include a large GE Cafe refrigerator, a Regatta sink by Franke, and a Bosch dishwasher, as well as a 30 inch convection combination microwave wall oven, and a gas cooktop, both by KitchenAid. However, the metallic sheen never feels overly modern. Instead, the rich, earthy tones of the new hardwood flooring ground the look and add warmth. From the collection of California Classics flooring, these warmly toned maple “San Diego” planks add natural beauty to this freshly revamped kitchen.
