Starting from scratch, the goal of the homeowners of this Newport Beach property was to keep an aesthetic that felt relaxed, but also brought together a juxtaposition of modern and vintage style. To put in the retro elements the homeowners wanted, we added a stunning wood parquet floor, which was a unique contrast to the modern, clean lines of the custom APlus cabinets, with smooth fronts and contemporary horizontal hardware. The custom cabinet design in this Newport Beach kitchen remodel includes vertical spicepulls, utensil drawers, a microwave drawer and soft-close elements.

The cabinets include a medium brown finish and a unique visible wood grain, adding distinction to the custom design. The range top blends with the white stone countertops, and perched above it is a minimalist wall hood.

Also part of this Newport Beach home remodel was the redesign of the bathrooms, where we included custom cabinets similar in style to the ones in the kitchen, creating flow and cohesion throughout the home. The master bathroom includes stylish floor tiles and a glass-walled shower, while an oversized mirror creates the illusion of even more space here.

A Newport Beach home was given an atmosphere as relaxed as its locale, thanks to the full kitchen and bathroom renovations performed by our team. In the U-shaped kitchen, the client wished to achieve a mod-retro vibe. We installed wood parquet floors for a subtle vintage touch, and built up all new APlus cabinets. A medium brown finish with visible wood grain was used for the cabinets, which also feature streamlined stainless steel handles and custom additions like vertical spice pulls and space-efficient utensil drawers. There’s also built-in compartments for all of the stainless steel appliances, such as the push-button microwave drawer, refrigerator, and double oven. A flat range-top blends seamlessly with the straight-edged white stone countertops, and is set beneath a minimalist wall hood.

In the bathrooms, we built custom cabinets similar to those in the kitchen to create a consistent design throughout the home. They also feature the sleek handles, and are paired with white and gray marbled countertops. In the master bathroom, they match well with the chic floor tiles that also line the exterior ledge of the glass-walled shower. A full-height, oversize mirror is accented with vanity lights, and visually enhances the room’s spaciousness.
