47 – Yorba Linda -Kitchen Remodel with custom cabinets

The owners of this Yorba Linda home were big fans of classic style, but not of the dated look that plagued their kitchen. In an effort to fix up the space and introduce some beautiful traditional design, they recruited APlus for the renovation. The first thing our crew did was strip the kitchen down to its bones. Because the original U-shaped layout fit the owner’s needs, the new custom cabinets were built according to the same structure. We gave them a sumptuous chestnut brown finish, and distinctive touches such as crown molding, carved ornamental accents, and dark bronze hardware. To keep the outline cohesive, connecting panels were built to connect the gaps between the cabinetry over the side door and the bay window. The same cabinetry materials were used to build the long kitchen island, which functions both as a storage place and a casual dining spot.

For the countertops, sandy granite was chosen. This pick works well with the warm hues of the cabinet wood, as well as the full-height tile backsplash on the walls between the upper and lower cabinets. Above the stovetop area, a focal point was created with decorative mosaic tiles. In the transitional space just outside of the kitchen, we also built a cozy bar with custom drawer storage for the owner’s glassware and liquor. Are you considering renovating your own kitchen?
