The new owners of this home in the Orange County city of Irvine decided they wanted to undergo a complete remodel before moving in. What previously existed in this Orange County property was a very outdated kitchen with limited storage and out-of-reach cabinets over the doorway, as well as an odd recessed ceiling feature.
In the new design, APlus opened up the kitchen and added a wide island to become the focal point. The island features seating as well as storage, and continues the white-on-white concept of the rest of the design, with custom white cabinetry and white stone countertops. Marble tile makes up the backsplash, and we were able to make the kitchen feel much more open and larger by raising the ceiling and adding recessed lighting. Storage was added not only in the traditional cabinetry but also the expansive pantry designed and crafted by APlus.
We re-did the bathrooms in this Irvine home as well. The bathrooms now include thick slab stone vanity tops and deep, double sinks, as well as traditional white cabinetry. The bathrooms feature gray plank tile for a sleek, modern look and feel, and we carried the rustically-inspired wood floors of the kitchen throughout the rest of the home, with the exception of the bathrooms.
